The Paws in the East is a fully enclosed Off Leash Dog Park where humans and dogs can come together and socialise. The Paws in the East dog park is situated in the Bashewa area on 7 hectares of untouched wilderness and offers a new adventurous spin on dog walking, jogging and is also home to some other animal friends. Braai and picnic facilities are strategically placed throughout the park and can easily be booked online for group visits.
Please make sure you can see your dog at all times. Dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting the park. Owners must be in control of their dog(s) at all times. Do not bring more dogs than you can handle. All waste must be picked up, bagged and disposed of immediately, completely and properly. Poopie bags are available at the deli. All park gates must remain closed at all times other than during entry and/or exit. Aggressive dogs are not permitted in the park. Owners are liable if their dog harms another dog or human. If your dog displays aggressive or mounting behavior more than twice per visit, leash him/her. Owners are solely responsible for preventing injuries and for offering assistance to those injured by their dog(s).
If your dog inflicts any injury, give your name and telephone number to the other owner before leaving the park. Dogs in heat are not permitted in the park. Puppies under 4 months should stay with owners. All dogs using the park must have current certificate of vaccination. All dogs must be under voice control. Please repair any damage your dog(s) create while visiting the park. All areas both in and outside the park must remain clean and clear of dog waste, litter and cigarette butts. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Paws in the East Rules:
- Wristbands must be worn at all times
- No personal food in the restaurant area
- Own beverages & food welcome in walking areas
- Management’s decision on you / your dog’s behaviour is final
- Children under 12 enter for free
